What is Microblading?

Microblading is a technique of cosmetic tattooing that is done by impacting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin with a sterile, disposable blade which will produce the appearance of hair like strokes to fill in the sparse areas of the brows or add more to enhance the appearance of the brows and make them look fuller. This technique is done with a hand tool.

Does it hurt?

A topical anesthetic is used on the brow area and left for 20 mins before starting the procedure, and a secondary numbing cream is used during the procedure as well. Pain tolerance varies depending on the person but most people say the numbing works well and they can hardly feel at all.

How long does it last?

​

Microblading will fade over time and an initial touch up is required 2 months after the initial procedure and then every 8-10 months. Duration of tint depends on a few different things. including sun exposure, chemical peels (glycolic, lactic, etc.), how active the client is, and how fast each individual's cell turnover is. Please keep in mind that the final results and time frame cannot be guaranteed being that each skin type will hold pigment differently and break down at different rates.

Microblading is a layering process and touch ups will be needed in order to achieve the "perfect brow" It is completely normal for there to be a substantial amount of fading after the initial appointment which is why touch ups are highly recommended.

Previously tattooed brows may require 1-2 additional appointments and rarely achieve the same results as someone who has never had work done because of the existing scar tissue and the color under the skin even if it is not visible.

Contraindications:

* Epilepsy
* Diabetes
* Chemotherapy
* If you are currently ill (cold, flu, etc.)
* Pregnant or Breast Feeding
* Autoimmune Diseases
* Major Heart Problems
* Viral Infections/Disease
* Botox within 30 days of procedure
* Accutane in the past year
* Psoriasis, Rash or Sunburn on or around treated area
* An Allergy to Lidocaine, Tetracaine or Epinephrine
* Previous Permanent Tattoo (Done with a machine)

I have previous work done how can i set up an apt?

​

send a picture in good lighting of your brows without any makeup on them so we can see if there is something I can do for you. If your previous work is still very pigmented I would recommend using an exfoliating acid like glycolic to help fade the pigment quicker.
